The Salon de la Fama finish, now an object.
It doesn't come from a marketing brief. It comes from seven barbers who close a cut in front of the mirror every day and know exactly what it takes for that cut to hold tomorrow too.
The signature
Ossama Kacha and the Salon de la Fama team
The origin
Arrecife, Lanzarote
Availability
Limited first run, by list
Where it comes from
It wasn't born in a lab.
It was born exactly where a cut ends and the life it has to survive begins.
El Salon de la Fama is where touring artists and Arrecife regulars sit in the same chair. Neither of them walks out and finds a barber waiting at home. Black Line starts from that question: what does it actually take for a cut to hold when the barber isn't there. That's not a product department's answer. It's the answer of the people making that cut every day.
The salon
El Salon de la Fama — Arrecife, Lanzarote
The team
Seven barbers, one idea of a finish
The signature
Ossama Kacha
The point
The cut doesn't end when you walk out.
How it goes now
Day one you're sharp. Day two, less so. From day three the shape you paid for is gone — and whatever sits in your bathroom was picked in a supermarket aisle, among twelve bottles promising the same thing.
How it should go
One product, chosen by the person who gave you that cut. One move in front of the mirror, and the turning seat is still there. Not a ten-minute ritual: a few seconds, and you're out.
What changes
Six reasons to want it.
No back-of-the-bottle promises — the criteria every detail was decided against.
The third day looks like the first
That's the yardstick it was designed against: not how it sits when fresh, but how it sits at the end of the day.
Seconds, not a routine
One move in front of the mirror. If it needs a manual, it has already failed.
The finish of the chair
One stated goal: the same result you see when the seat turns — done by you.
No helmet effect
Built to leave hair as hair: shape yes, armour no.
Decided by the people who cut
Every choice goes through the judgement of seven barbers, not a preference test.
An object, not a bottle
Matte black, essential. It looks right left out — which is where it will end up.
The object
Black, and nothing else.
Packaging isn't a costume: it's the first thing you touch and the only thing left in sight.
- Matte black
- No colour label, no promises printed on top. The name and the emblem, that's it.
- Precision applicator
- Tapered tip: the product lands where you decide, not where it falls.
- The Kacha emblem
- Ossama Kacha's signature on the bottle — the same one on the salon window.
The comparison
Where the line falls.
Not against a brand: against the habit of buying styling in a supermarket aisle.
| Criterion | Kacha Black Line | Shelf product |
|---|---|---|
| Who decided it | Barbers closing cuts every day | A product department and a consumer panel |
| The measure of success | How the cut sits on day three | How the photo sits on the box |
| Time it asks for | One move, a few seconds | A routine to learn |
| How many you need | One | Three or four, to be safe |
| How you get it | By list, limited first run | Everywhere, like everyone |
Who it's for
It isn't for everyone.
It's for you if
- You walk out of the barber wishing that cut lasted until the next one.
- You have thirty seconds in front of the mirror, not ten minutes.
- You'd rather have one product chosen by your barber than twelve that look alike.
- Plastic-looking hair bothers you more than a strand out of place.
Skip it if
- You're after the cheapest bottle on the shelf.
- You enjoy switching products every month.
- You want something available now, everywhere, in unlimited supply.
Private access
The first run won't hit the shelf.
It goes to the list, in the order it was joined.
- Before the public. You order when we open to you, not when we open to everyone.
- Limited first production. When it's gone, the second run is the wait.
- Reserved terms. For the people who were there before it existed.

Questions
Before you leave your address.
When does it launch?
The date isn't announced yet. The list gets it before it goes public — that's the only reason the list exists.
What is it, exactly?
Product details are shared at launch, together with the first batch. We'd rather say it when it's final than when it sounds good.
What will it cost?
The price goes to the list before it goes public, with terms reserved for people who signed up.
Does signing up commit me to buying?
No. The list gives you priority, not an order: you decide once you see the product and the price.
Will I get more emails?
One only, the launch one. No newsletter, and your address is never passed to third parties.
Can I see it in person?
El Salon de la Fama is in Arrecife, at C. Doctor Juan Negrín 25. When the first run lands, that's where to see it for real.

Black Line has no reviews of its own yet, and rightly so — it's just launching. What you see above is the real rating of the salon behind it.
In the meantime, the original.
The Black Line finish already exists in one place: the chair it was born in. That one you can book today.
